Colm Daly's Sacrewell Site - This interactive site caters mostly for those with fond memories of the Old Time Spring and Summer camps at Sacrewell farm near Peterborough and other related occasions. Colm Daly has run this for several years and the membership keeps growing. To view it you need to follow the above link (www.sacrewell.myfamily.com) and use the universal login of ‘sacrewell_camp’ (note the underscore) and ‘visitor’ as password. The content is all from members and is easy to post or upload to. The News section offers a bit of rapport; the File Cabinet offers some early issues of The Old Time News as well as hundreds of live recordings from the camps; The Photo Section is jam packed with camp snaps; and the Calendar Section gives a detailed month by month guide to upcoming festivals and events and email notification if desired. New members are always welcome, simply add your name and email address in the Members Section.

Gainsborough Old Time Festival
Feb 13-15 2009

will feature The New Ballard's Branch Bogtrotters

from Fries, Virginia who have won the string band prize at the nearby Galax Old Fiddlers Convention 7 times since the early nineties.

featuring Eddie Bond (fiddle and vocals), Josh Ellis (banjo), Dennis Hall (guitar), Leon Frost (mandolin), Jesse Morris (bass)

with Eddie's wife Shane (Flatfoot dancer).

They were strongly recommended at the last festival by Adam Hurt and Beth Hartness as maybe the best of the current Round Peak bands.

You can hear recent tracks of theirs at http://www.myspace.com/thenewballardsbranchbogtrotters
